NATO to send experts to Ukraine's Defense Ministry, to help train military, civilian personnel – Stoltenberg
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has said that the alliance will strengthen its expert and military-technical assistance to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
"We are firm in our support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity. And we are helping Ukraine better provide for its own security. With our Trust Funds, with expert advice," he said at a joint press conference with Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk in Kyiv on Tuesday.
"With our practical cooperation, like the exercise on disaster response that Ukraine is hosting in Yavoriv [we are helping the country]. But we want to do even more together. That is why today we have signed an agreement to help develop Ukraine government's communications capability. It will help train people at all levels, both civilian and military, to be more effective communicators" he said.
The NATO chief also said that during his visit both sides had agreed to expand military-technical cooperation.
