DPR, LPR to propose holding Donbas local elections on Feb 21, 2016
The so-called Donetsk and Luhansk people's republics will suggest to Kyiv that Donbas local elections should be held on February 21, 2016.
"The Donbas republics have worked out the date of Donbas local elections - February 21, 2016," LPR negotiator in the Trilateral Contact Group Vladislav Deinego has said.
He said the DPR and the LPR would present to the Contact Group "a reasoned plan and schedule of the fulfillment of the political provisions of the Minsk agreements."
The proposals will be made to Kyiv at the political subgroup, he said.
The peace plan approved in Minsk in February says it must be fulfilled before the end of 2015.
