Decision on referendum regarding Ukraine's membership in NATO to be made after reforms - Poroshenko
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said he will decide on holding a referendum regarding Ukraine's membership in NATO after the country accomplishes necessary reforms.
"When we create every condition for the Ukrainian compliance with NATO membership criteria by reforming our country, I will decide to hold a universal referendum and the will of the Ukrainian people will be expressed," Poroshenko said at a meeting of the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council attended by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg on Tuesday.
