Poroshenko speaks for amending Rada's protocol for quicker detainment of MPs breaking law
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has spoken in favor of amending the protocol of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to simplify the lifting of immunity and detainment, when MPs violate the law.
"I'd make amendments to the law on the protocol that would provide an opportunity to detain criminals using MPs' immunity and seat as a cover," he said in an interview with Ukrainian TV on Sunday.
According to the President, such amendments should made to strip the politicians of the possibility to cover their criminal activity with the protocol, by making a deal with some member of regulatory committee and thus avoiding criminal responsibility
