Poroshenko enacts amendments to national budget to raise living and minimum wages
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has signed into law a bill on changes to the Ukrainian law on the 2015 Ukrainian national budget (regarding an increase in the subsistence level and the minimum wage)."
"Returned with a signature by the president (September 18, 2015)," according to the website of the Ukrainian parliament.
The Verkhovna Rada voted for the bill on September 17.
The new law moves the date of indexation of the subsistence level and the minimum wage from December 1 to September 1, 2015.
In particular, the document sets living wages per person per month as of September 1, 2015, at UAH 1,330. Living wages for able-bodied persons is set at UAH 1,378, for the disabled at UAH 1,074 with a relevant increase in payment for work, pensions, allowances to families with children and social benefits, graduate and doctoral scholarships.
