Gazprom's gas price for Q4 according to Tymoshenko contract is $252 per 1,000 cub m, but not market price – Demchyshyn

The price of Russian natural gas, according to the formula of the 2009 contract of Gazprom and Naftogaz Ukrainy, which was signed with the participation of former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, for Q4 2015 is $252 for one thousand cubic meters, Ukrainian Energy and Coal Industry Minister Volodymyr Demchyshyn said.

"But it [the price] is not market," he said.

He said that the cost of transportation of Russian gas through the territory of Ukraine is $32 per thousand cubic meters.

Demchyshyn said that the position of Ukraine in trilateral gas talks of Russia and the EU is that as a minimum, the price of Russian gas should be reduced by this sum.
