Svoboda nominates ex-deputy parliament speaker Koshulynsky as Lviv mayor, ex-deputy Myrny as Kyiv mayor
Svoboda has nominated former deputy parliamentary speaker Ruslan Koshulynsky as its candidate for Lviv mayor in the upcoming Lviv regional council elections, and former MP Oleksandr Myrny has been chosen as the party's candidate for Kyiv mayor.
Yuriy Syrotiuk is number one on the party's list for the Kyiv city council elections.
The electoral lists were agreed on at the 32nd congress of the party in Kyiv on Monday, an Interfax-Ukraine has reported.
Svoboda nominated former agrarian policy and food minister of Ukraine Ihor Shvaika to head the election list for Kharkiv city council; former MP Eduard Leonov – for Uzhgorod city council; MPYuriy Bublyk – as Poltava mayor.
During the congress, Svoboda leader Oleh Tiahnybok said that his party should become represented in all regional and city councils of regional centers in Ukraine.
