Ukrainian Army to receive 8,500 items of weaponry, military equipment
An additional 8,500 items of weaponry and military equipment will be made available to the Ukrainian Armed Forces by the end of the year, public relations assistant to the Defense Minister of Ukraine, Oleksiy Chornobay, has reported.
"By the end of the year, domestic producers and specialized exporters will deliver nearly 8,500 items of weaponry and 363,000 ammunition units [to the armed forces]," he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday.
He also said that since the beginning of 2015, Ukrainian defense sector companies have delivered 1,400 items of new and modern weaponry.
