PGO detains Head of Employment Service's tender committee for bribery
The Investigative Department on Highly Important Cases of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine (PGO), together with the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), has detained another department head of the State Employment Service of Ukraine – the head of the tender committee - for bribery
According to the PGO press service, the official received the money for illegally facilitating commercial structures during state procurements and via the further embezzlement of money spent on procurements.
The investigation is ongoing. The issue of a preventive measure for the official is being considered as well.
On Friday, September 11, the PGO and SBU said that a high ranking official of the Employment Service was detained in flagrante while receiving a bribe worth UAH 600,000.
