One Ukrainian serviceman injured, none killed in Donbas over past day
The Ukrainian army had no fatalities in the hostilities zone in eastern Ukraine over the past day yet one serviceman was injured, Ukrainian Presidential Administration spokesman for the army operation Oleksandr Motuzianyk has said.
"The enemy used grenade launchers and small arms near Avdiyivka and Maryinka. A Ukrainian serviceman was hurt in one of those provocations," he said at a press briefing in Kyiv on Thursday.
The militia has been staging individual armed provocations in the operation zone, for instance, Ukrainian positions near Schastia stayed under attack for ten minutes in the Luhansk sector, he said. "They were using small arms and grenade launchers," Motuzianyk said.
A woman was injured in the blast of an unknown explosive device in Stanytsia Luhanska, he added.
