Finance Ministry agrees bills for debt restructuring with creditors, asking Rada to adopt them
Ukraine's Ministry of Finance and the special committee of creditors have agreed a package of draft laws necessary for the successful completion of the restructuring of the country's external private debt, including those on the issue of state derivative securities, payments on which are linked to the issue of GDP growth, Finance Minister Natalie Jaresko has reported.
"These bills have already been agreed with the special creditors' committee. Therefore I ask to support, work on and submit these bills that are technical in nature, however are an integral important part of the success of our collective efforts in restructuring the debt and returning Ukraine to economic growth, to the Verkhovna Rada for consideration," she said at an enlarged meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers with the participation of the president in Kyiv.
