Five NATO trust funds with EUR 5.4 mln to start working in Ukraine soon – defense ministry
The Defense Ministry of Ukraine is preparing for the start of five NATO trust funds with EUR 5.4 million, spokeswoman Viktoria Kushnir said at a briefing on Tuesday.
She said that NATO will provide assistance to the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the following ways: modernization of communications and automation systems (EUR 2 million), reformation of logistics and standardization systems (EUR 1 million), physical rehabilitation and prosthetic care for military servicemen wounded in the Anti-Terrorist Operation zone (EUR 845,000), cyber protection (EUR 815,000) and training and social adaptation of military servicemen (EUR 410,000).
"Spending of funds for each of the projects is agreed in the Alliance headquarters," she said.
She said that a total of 62 legal documents have been drawn up and introduced in the Defense Ministry under NATO standards.
