NATO chief to attend Ukrainian Security Council meeting, to open joint military exercise – Klimkin
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin told journalists in Brussels on Monday that NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg will attend a Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) meeting and, together with President Petro Poroshenko, he will open a joint NATO-Ukrainian exercise due to be held on September 21-25.
After their meeting at the NATO headquarters, Klimkin called Stoltenberg's forthcoming visit a "landmark and symbolical," while noting the historical significance of his attendance of an NSDC meeting.
The date of the visit will be confirmed over the next few days, the minister added.
