Provocateurs hurl live grenade at police near Verkhovna Rada - MP

A live grenade was hurled at servicemen protecting the Verkhovna Rada building on Monday, People's Front faction deputy, former advisor to the Ukrainian interior minister Anton Heraschenko has said.

"The provocation staged near the Verkhovna Rada has succeeded! A live grenade has just been tossed at the servicemen protecting the Verkhovna Rada. Several servicemen of the National Guard suffered severe injuries. Their life is in danger," Heraschenko wrote on Facebook.

The Interior Ministry is searching for the provocateurs with the purpose of their detention, he said.
