Ukraine to consider imposition of sanctions on Russia on Aug 31
The Ukrainian Council of National Security and Defense (SBU) will hold a meeting on Monday, August 31, a source with knowledge of the situation told Interfax.
"It is expected that the issue regarding the imposition of sanctions on Russia will be considered at this meeting…" the source said.
It was reported that in mid-August the Ukrainian Cabinet approved sanctions against several Russian legal entities and individuals over the situation in Donbas, and submitted them for SBU consideration (decree №808-r of August 12, 2015 on broader proposals to take personal special economic and other restrictive measures).
The lists of individuals and legal entities against which sanctions were imposed are determined only for service use, therefore, they were not announced.
