Kyiv knows names of generals, officers in charge of Russian troops in Donbas – Turchynov
The commander of the Russian occupation forces in Donbas is Colonel General Andrei Serdyukov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov has said.
"Colonel General Andrei Nikolayevich Serdyukov is responsible for the command of the whole of the Russian occupation forces. He's Chief of the General Command, and First Deputy Commander of the South military region (cover documents with the nom de guerre Sedov)," NSDC press service quoted Turchynov as saying.
He also named the following Russian soldiers as involved in Donbas conflict: Major General Alexei Zavizen (cover documents with the nom de guerre Pilen), Major General Yevgeny Nikiforov (cover documents with the nom de guerre Morgun), and Lieutenant General Sergey Yudin.
"I want to once again point out that we're opposed by actual detachments of the Russian Armed Forces…," Turchynov added.
