Defense Ministry intends to fully transfer public procurement to electronic format
The Ukrainian Defense Ministry intends to fully transfer the system of public procurement agencies to an electronic format, Speaker of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry Viktoria Kushnir has said.
"The Ministry of Defense plans to fully transfer the system of public procurement to an electronic format, introduce a full-fledged electronic document turnover and launching a special website for public procurement," she said at a briefing in Kyiv.
Kushnir pointed out that the Defense Ministry continues to experiment with using electronic trading during the implementation of negotiated procurement procedures.
"Since June 27 the ministry has conducted 29 electronic auctions totaling UAH 42 million. The competitive environment of electronic trading has contributed to a decrease in producer prices, which made it possible to save more than UAH 82 million," she said.
According to her, trading on another 214 Defense Ministry lots totaling UAH 788.4 million is ongoing.
