Poroshenko to visit Brussels on Aug 27 – press service
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko will travel on a working visit to Brussels on August 27, the presidential press service has reported.
During his visit, Poroshenko will meet with European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker, European Council President Donald Tusk, and Prime Minister of Belgium Charles Michel.
Earlier, presidential deputy chief of staff Kostiantyn Yeliseyev reported that the upcoming visit of Poroshenko to Brussels signifies the launch of the international campaign to strengthen the pro-Ukrainian international coalition.
He said that Poroshenko will meet with the EU leadership and during their discussions will highlight key points which were agreed with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Francois Hollande in Berlin on Monday.
According to Yeliseyev, active contact with other participants of the process aimed at resolving the conflict in eastern Ukraine will follow the visit.
