Fifteen foreign tourists injured in van crash in western Georgia
Fifteen people have been injured in a traffic accident involving a van carrying foreign tourists in eastern Georgia on Saturday, Georgian media reported.
The accident took place on the Zugdidi-Jvari motorway, they said.
The van en route from Mestia to Zugdidi collided with a post and overturned.
The injured passengers have been taken to a Zugdidi hospital, and four of them had to be operated on, the media said.
The Georgian Interior Ministry is looking into the causes of the accident. The tourists' nationalities have not been reported.
