Economy ministry forecasts 0.4% GDP growth in Q4, 2015
The Economic Development and Trade Ministry forecasts a 0.4% GDP growth in the fourth quarter of 2015, according to Vice Prime Minister Valeriy Voschevsky after a meeting of the Anti-Crisis Energy Headquarters with the participation of Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk.
The meeting tackled the finalization of electricity generation and consumption forecasts, Voschevsky wrote on "Facebook".
Under the current forecasts for the fourth quarter of 2015, electricity consumption is expected to decline by 11% year-over-year (the figure doesn't include data from the Anti-Terrorist Operation zone). "At the same time, the Economic Development and Trade Ministry projects a 0.4% increase in GDP in the said period," Voschevsky said.
As was reported, Ukraine's GDP in the second quarter of 2015 fell by 14.7% year-over-year, against a 17.2% decline in the quarter of 2015, a 14.8% decline in the fourth quarter of 2014, 5.4% decline in the third quarter of 2015, a 4.5% decline in the second and a 1.2% decline in the first quarter of 2014.
