Ukrainian foreign minister to pay official visit to Azerbaijan in Sept

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin's official visit to Azerbaijan is planned for September 2015, Rustam Rustamov, a deputy to the Ukrainian ambassador to Baku, told Interfax.

"The visit may take place in mid-September or in the second half of September. The parties are currently coordinating the visit's date," he said.

During the visit, the parties plan to observe the entire agenda of Azeri-Ukrainian cooperation, Rustamov said. "This implies mainly political dialogue and economic cooperation," he said.

Azeri President Ilham Aliyev may also visit Kyiv in September, Rustamov said. "Azeri President Ilham Aliyev's visit to Ukraine is possible in the first half of September. As for [the agenda] of the president's possible visit, the matter involves [participation] in the annual Yalta European Strategy, which is to take place in Kyiv," he said.

As for the dates of the Azeri president's possible visit to Ukraine, "it is too early to talk about this, as the dates haven't yet been agreed upon," Rustamov said. "There is no reply from the Azeri side on the possibility of this visit," he said.
