Ukrainian-American mission to work in Donbas – Donetsk administration
ON Tuesday, August 18, a meeting of Deputy Head of Donetsk Regional State Administration Yevhen Vilinsky and representatives of Ukrainian-American mission "East" took place. The mission is planning to start working in Donbas.
According to the administration's press service, Vice President of Ukrainian State Organizations of the World, Director of the League of Ukrainian Canadians, Advisor to U.S. Senator Borys Potapenko was at the meeting.
"The mission visited Donbas to uncover and assess issues of communities in towns and villages of the region, prepare strategy of constant cooperation between Ukrainian communities, volunteers, officials, entrepreneurs and the military of eastern Ukraine and the U.S.," reads the statement,
Mission representatives suggested appointing a person in Donetsk administration to responsible for communication with them and U.S. parliament on the issues of development of small and medium businesses in Donetsk region.
According to Potapenko, Donbas is a new direction of work for them.
