New Fiscal Service leaders fight major part of corruption off - Nasirov
Chairman of the State Fiscal Service Roman Nasirov believes the new leadership of the fiscal authorities managed to cope with a greater part of corruption in the agency.
"I believe we've really overcome much of organized corruption. Now nobody can say that some schemes are either organized or protected by the fiscal service leadership," he told reporters.
According to Nasirov, the Fiscal Service management reshuffled the staff: over the past three months 1,386 employees were laid off, 394 people were appointed. The Fiscal Service replaced 263 heads in the tax agencies, 84 executives in the tax police, and 60% of the customs officials.
Nasirov believes that taxpayers should feel changes for the better in the Fiscal Service.
"I think we may ask taxpayers whether they feel it or not. I think the answer in many cases will be positive."
