Defense Ministry plans to complete state registry of persons liable for military service by end of 2015
The Defense Ministry of Ukraine is plans to complete the state registry of persons liable for military service by the end of 2015, Head of the Communication and Press Department of Ukrainian Defense Ministry Oksana Havryliuk has said.
"The bill will be sent to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine shortly. We're planning that by the end of this year, the creation of such a registry will be completed," she said at a briefing on Friday in Kyiv.
Havryliuk also said that the data from the fiscal, customs and migration services will be used to complete the database, as well as electoral roll data.
"The creation of such a registry of persons liable for military service will allow the Defense Ministry to efficiently prevent citizens from evading their military duty," she said.
In addition, she said that the Cabinet of Ministers has approved the bill.
