Poroshenko signs law on procedure of receiving, allocating humanitarian aid
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has signed the law on amending the law on humanitarian aid regarding the urgency of decision making
. The law was adopted by the Verkhovna Rada on July 15. According to the bill, vehicles can be considered as humanitarian aid.
According to the president's website, the law improves the organizational and legal principles of receiving and distributing humanitarian aid, taking into consideration needs of the population in specific regions.
According to the law, some of functions of the Social Policy Ministry are now delegated to local executive agencies, particularly in the part concerning control over preserving, storing, distributing, using humanitarian aid, and preparing reports and accounts.
