Two Ukrainian soldiers killed, one injured in Stanytsia Luhanska - Ukrainian Interior Ministry
Two Ukrainian soldiers were killed and one was injured in last Monday's shelling of Stanytsia Luhanska, a Luhansk regional police spokesperson said on Tuesday.
The attack also damaged three houses as a result, the spokesperson said.
In all, there were four shell attacks that appeared to have been launched from the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic, the police said.
Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov said earlier on Tuesday that Ukraine's military casualties in Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) zone over the preceding 24 hours had amounted to three dead and seven injured. He said the Ukrainian positions had been shelled 109 times in the preceding 24 hours.
