President signs law exempting pensions of families of deceased World War II, ATO participants from tax
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has signed the law on exempting the pensions of the families of those who died or went missing in World War II or in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) from taxation, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine Rostyslav Pavlenko has said.
"These are families of servicemen, participants of the guerilla movement that died or went missing during World War II, families of those deceased during the war from the personnel of self-protection groups, families of both low and high ranking military [officials] that died or [became] deceased due to injuries sustained during the ATO while defending the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine," he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday.
Pavlenko also said that his includes the families of those who died while serving in volunteer battalions
According to Pavlenko, the realization of the law will cost UAH 317 million per day and it will come into effect on September 1, 2015.
