Stanytisa Luhanska and the village of Valuiske in Stanytisa Luhanska district were shelled with 122mm artillery weapons, which are prohibited by the Minsk peace accords for Ukraine, on Sunday, the press service of Luhansk Region Military-Civilian Administration reported on Monday.
The strikes damaged Stanytsia Luhanska's gas main, which has already been fixed. The shelling also damaged power lines in several streets. A senior inspector of the Stanytsia Luhanska district's traffic police department sustained a fragmentation wound in his own house, the press service said.
Reports of destruction and injuries in the village of Valuiske are being verified, it said.
