Austrian president signs ratification of Ukraine-EU Association Agreement, chancellor's approval next – ambassador
President of Austria Heinz Fischer has signed the ratification of the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement, Ukraine's ambassador to Austria Oleksandr Scherba has said.
"Despite the vacation, the Austrian president signed the ratification of Association [Agreement]. What to be done next is the chancellor's signing and a report in the government newspaper. Danke!" Scherba tweeted on Friday.
As reported, the EU-Ukraine association agreement was ratified by both chambers of the Austrian parliament earlier in July.
The agreement has been fully ratified by 21 out of the 28 members of the EU.
