Ukrainian Foreign Ministry warns foreigners against visiting Crimea without authorized permit
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has warned foreigners against visiting Russia-occupied Crimea without special permission from the Ukrainian authorities.
"We sent a note on the procedure of entrance to and exit from the temporary occupied territory of Crimea that was governmentally approved on July 15, 2015 to all states. All foreign citizens must adhere to Ukrainian legislation, the norms of the international law, and coordinate any trips to the occupied territory with the Ukrainian authorities," ministry spokeswoman Maryana Betsa said in Kyiv on Wednesday.
She said that after the recent visit of French parliamentarians to Crimea, the Foreign Ministry asked the Security Service of Ukraine to impose certain restrictions banning the parliamentarians from visiting Ukraine again.
