Arrested Russian army officer convoyed ammunition to 'DPR' – Border Service
A Russian army officer named as Major Vladimir Starkov, who was arrested by Ukrainian border guards at Berezove checkpoint (Donetsk region), accompanied an ammunition convoy from Donetsk to the village of Yasne, State Border Guard Service Chief Viktor Nazarenko has said.
"Preliminary, it has been established that Major of the Russian Armed Forces Vladimir Starkov was bound from Donetsk city to Yasne village and convoyed ammunition cargo to the deployment of the fifth mechanized brigade of 'Oplot' illegal armed formation of the so-called Donetsk People's Republic [DPR]," he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Wednesday.
