Moscow's attempts to block MH17 international tribunal disastrous for Russia - Poroshenko
Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko has said that Moscow's attempts to obstruct the establishment of an international tribunal to investigate the Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 disaster is in fact a disaster for Russia itself.
In an interview with Wall Street Journal, Poroshenko said that the UN Security Council will on Wednesday consider a draft resolution put forward by Australia, Belgium, Malaysia, the Netherlands and Ukraine regarding the establishment of an international tribunal to investigate the disaster.
According to Poroshenko, Moscow has threatened to block the resolution.
"That would be a disaster for Russia itself because it would be an admission of responsibility. This is the Middle Ages approach, the barbarian approach to solving international disputes," he said.
