Venice Commission's preliminary opinion on Ukraine's constitutional amendments on judiciary positive – Poroshenko's administration
The European Commission for Democracy through Law (Venice Commission) has positively pre-assessed a text of the improved document of the Constitution of Ukraine regarding the judiciary of Ukraine.
"The proposed amendments are a generally positive text which deserves to be supported. The amendments are well drafted. Their adoption would be an important step forward towards the establishment of a truly independent judicial system in Ukraine," the presidential press service quotes Commission summary made public on its website on July 24.
