Around $2 bln raised to reform Ukraine's utilities services sector - Zubko
Around $2 billion has been raised to reform the Ukrainian housing and utilities services sector, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Services Hennadiy Zubko has said.
"The ministry continues international cooperation in other areas as well – funds have been attracted and the financing of projects in the field of housing utilities services totaling $2 billion is coordinated. In particular, we raised $869 million – this is the money of the government of Japan for the reconstruction of Bortnychi aeration station. Today we have signed an agreement with the European Investment Bank on the issue of EUR400 million for infrastructure projects in Ukrainian cities," Zubko said at a meeting on the ministry's fulfillment of the Cabinet program, the coalition agreement, and the sustainable development strategy Ukraine 2020.
