NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg will visit Georgia in late August, Georgian Parliament Chairman David Usupashvili, who is on a visit in Brussels, told reporters on Wednesday following a NATO-Georgian committee meeting.
NATO has quite a high level of interest in Georgia, Usupashvili said.
Besides the NATO-Georgia committee meeting Usupashvili also met with NATO Deputy Secretary General Alexander Vershbow during his visit, the Georgian parliamentary press office said on Wednesday.
"The parties have discussed Georgia's integration into the Alliance, current processes in the country and security issues," the press office said.
The Georgian authorities have said that during the visit of the NATO secretary general to Georgia the opening of a joint training center might take place.
