Ukroboronprom: 37 contracts to supply imported arms for army signed over last year
Ukroboronprom state concern provided for the creation of an effective imported arms purchase system in Ukraine in 2014 and H1 2015, and between July 2014 and June 2015, it signed 37 contracts on imported arms supplies, the press service of the concern has reported, referring to Ukroboronprom Deputy Director Denys Hurak.
The volume of the contracts has not been disclosed.
Hurak said that the imported arms purchase system created by the state concern under the conditions of external aggression has almost fully removed corruption and is based on the concern’s new partners in military and technical cooperation: the list of partners was expanded by 312 new companies.
He said that cooperation with defense companies in Central and Eastern Europe is actively developing actively.
As reported, in February 2015 the Ukrainian government approved the state defense order for 2015 which is worth around UAH 6 billion.
