Kyiv says two civilians wounded in Donbas shelling

Two women were heavily wounded when an area near the locality of Mayorske in the Donetsk region came under fire, the press center of the Ukrainian army operation in Donbas reported on Tuesday.

"Intense artillery shelling" was conducted from within militants-controlled territory at around 8:00 a.m. local time on Monday, it said.

"A civilian car came under fire and two women sustained serious injuries" near Mayorske village, the press center said.

Ukrainian soldiers administered first aid to those injured and evacuated them to a nearby hospital, the press center said.
