Coalition agrees on local elections in Donbas – MP Kononenko

Consensus has been reached between the factions of parliamentary coalition regarding the issue of local elections in Ukraine, First Deputy Head of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc Ihor Kononenko has said,

"There's a political agreement and here it is: elections are held on the occupied territories, and the elections on the territories with military-civilian administrations [Donetsk and Luhansk regions] are conducted in accordance with a certain law," Kononenko told journalists on Friday.

He also supposed that the resolution on scheduling elections of local authorities might not be adopted on Friday, as there aren't many MPs present in the session hall.
