Poroshenko urges global community to consolidate against reviewing principles of Helsinki Accords
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko met with Ukrainian MPs that took part in the work of the summer session of OSCE Parliamentary Assembly held through July 6-9, 2015 in Helsinki. Poroshenko urged MPs to continue their work to consolidate the international community against reviewing the principles of the Helsinki Accords.
"The Head of State called on Ukrainian MPs to continue their work to consolidate the international community in opposing the attempts to review principles of the Helsinki Accords and countries' obligations to adhere to them," reads the statement.
In addition, Poroshenko thanked MPs for an active defense of Ukraine's national interests and welcomed the adoption of two important resolutions on Russia's violations of OSCE norms and principles and illegally detained Ukrainian citizens.
