Poroshenko appoints Moskal as Zakarpattia regional governor
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said that in the view of the latest developments in Mukacheve he had to urgently intervene and appoint Hennadiy Moskal, who up to that moment had headed Luhansk Region Military and Civilian Administration, as the governor of Zakarpattia region.
"I had to take urgent actions to extinguish the 'fire' in Zakarpattia. I had to pick one of the best public administration managers – Hennadiy [Moskal] and send him to Zakarpattia region," Poroshenko said while presenting Moskal in Uzhgorod, the administrative center of Zakarpattia region, on Wednesday evening at a press conference following a meeting with the heads of law enforcement agencies in the region.
