Twenty Russian tactical groups are on occupied areas of Donbas, another 56 – placed along border – NSDC Secretary
National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov has said that there are currently 20 tactical groups of Russian Armed Forces in the occupied areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
"As of today, there are 20 tactical groups of Russian Armed Forces (14 battalions and six companies) in the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions," he said in an exclusive interview with Interfax-Ukraine.
Turchynov noted that the number of Russian troops on the occupied territories wasn't lowering.
"And there's a very powerful reserve on the Russian side of the border along the occupied territory. Particularly, there are 56 tactical groups (43 battalions and 14 companies) ready to cross the border at any moment and join the attack," NSDC Secretary said.
