Interior Ministry links explosions at Lviv police stations with events in Zakarpattia region
The explosions that took place on Tuesday near two police stations in Lviv are connected to the situation in Zakarpattia region, according to the Interior Ministry of Ukraine.
"The Interior Ministry links these blasts with the Zakarpattia events [and have been] organized to destabilize the situation in the country," reads a statement posted on the Interior Ministry's website.
Lviv region police have now been placed on high alert. The police are taking every possible measure to find the perpetrators and stabilize the situation.
"At the same time the police assure us that they will decisively oppose all similar criminal actions," the ministry said.
