Information on alleged preparation of documents to lift deputy immunity from Yarosh is fake – Avakov
Interior Minister of Ukraine Arsen Avakov has refuted information on the alleged preparation of documents by the Interior Ministry and the Prosecutor General's Office to lift deputy immunity from Right Sector leader Dmytro Yarosh.
When asked about the issue by Interfax-Ukraine, Avakov said: "It's fake."
Earlier, a statement appeared on Avakov's Twitter saying that his ministry was preparing documents to lift Yarosh's immunity.
The statement also contained a link to "Avakov.com," described as the "personal website of Arsen Avakov."
"The results of the investigation into the Mukacheve incident make it clear that the Right Sector party has seriously challenged the state and its security. No matter how Dmytro Yarosh tries to put some distance between his soldiers' actions in Mukacheve, we know for sure that he was aware of what had been happening," read the fake twitter statement.
