Motor Sich airline mulling use of regional An-148 aircraft

Motor Sich airline (Zaporizhia) is mulling the possibility of using regional An-148 aircraft in its fleet, Airline Commercial Director Oleh Khrystov has told Interfax-Ukraine in Kherson.

"Large aircraft are not needed on regional flights, here we need aircraft like our An-24, An-140 aircraft for short routes," he said.

According to the director, the An-148 is an aircraft that actually can be used on domestic flights.

Motor Sich airline operates a fleet of nine aircraft, carrying out regular passenger international and domestic flights, passenger and cargo charter flights and special flights that provide the activities of the parent company.

Its base airport is Zaporizhia International Airport.
