Probe into MH17 tragedy in eastern Ukraine may last until end of 2015 – Malaysian premier
The inquiry into the causes of the Malaysian Airlines Flight MH17 disaster in Ukraine's east in 2014 may last at least until the end of this year, Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak said.
A very detailed investigation is still ongoing and it is expected to last at least until the end of 2015, he said during a memorial to mark the anniversary of the tragedy at Kuala Lumpur airport on Saturday.
The Malaysian prime minister said that a team of international investigators now has a clearer picture on the possible cause of the crash.
Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 en route from Amsterdam (the Netherlands) to Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) was shot down in Donetsk region on July 17, 2014. The crash killed all 298 people onboard.
