Gazprom's annulment of Saipem contract is 'technical issue' not affecting Turkish Stream
UFA. July 9 (Interfax) - The annulment of the contract between Gazprom and Saipem stems from a technical issue and will not affect the Turkish Stream gas pipeline project, Energy Minister Alexander Novak told journalists.
"The project continues to be implemented. We are continuing to work with our Turkish partners on the intergovernmental agreements. That is, this is a technical issue that is being resolved between Gazprom and the commercial organization," Novak said.
Asked whether the annulment would affect the pipeline construction schedule, Novak said: "No dates have been set. We are working in 'the-faster-the-better' mode," he said.
