Austrian parliament ratifies EU-Ukraine Association Agreement - ambassador
Austria's Federal Assembly, the upper chamber of the parliament, at a meeting on Wednesday ratified the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union, Ukraine's Ambassador to Austria Oleksandr Scherba has said.
"Austria! We've got ratification!" he wrote on his Twitter account.
"The majority fractions voted for. The Freedom Party and Team Stronach against. Now, it's awaiting the signature of the Federal president," he added.
Before the voting, at the parliamentary session Austria's Foreign Minister Sebastian Kurz was campaigning to vote for the ratification of this agreement.
