Negotiations with Ukraine's Western neighbors on border control will take place on July 17 - Poroshenko
Negotiations with Ukraine's neighbors on its Western border on the organization of joint border control will take place on July 17, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said.
"An appropriate meeting took place yesterday. On July 17, the relevant Ukrainian officials, the head of the State Fiscal Service, the State Border Guard Service, and the foreign minister will have consultations with the countries that border on Ukraine: Romania, Hungary, Slovakia and Poland. We are putting in place joint control when Ukrainian, Romanian, Hungarian, Polish and Slovak border guards will jointly exercise border control," the president said at a meeting with law enforcement officials and governors in Odesa on Wednesday.
Poroshenko also said joint customs control may be introduced with neighboring countries on Ukraine's Western border.
