Ukraine, Bulgaria heads discuss building new highway, resuming flights between states
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev have discussed a joint project to build a highway between the two countries.
"We intend to raise funds from the European Union, allocate money from the national budget of Ukraine for the development of a number of infrastructure projects that will contribute to the creation of new jobs, provide a corridor that will link not only Odesa with Bolgrad and Reni, but also through Romania with Bulgaria," Poroshenko said at a press conference with Plevneliev in Kyiv.
He also gave instructions to Infrastructure Minister Andriy Pyvovarsky to study the issue of resuming flights between Ukraine and Bulgaria.
"At our joint meeting I instructed Minister of Infrastructure Pyvovarsky to study the possibility of resuming air cooperation between Kyiv and Sofia and make tickets cheaper," Poroshenko said.
