SBU: Ex-education minister Dmytro Tabachnyk on wanted list
The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has placed former education minister of Ukraine Dmytro Tabachnyk on the wanted list.
Information about Tabachnyk has been posted on the Interior Ministry of Ukraine website under the section: "Persons, who are hidden from the authorities."
According to the website, is accused of the large scale seizure of state property (Part 5 of Article 191 of Criminal Code of Ukraine).
June 8, 2015 is said to be when the former minister went into hiding.
As reported, on May 25, Tabachnyk was presented a note of being suspected in property embezzlement through abuse of office.
Under the decision of the Council of European Union of June 5, 2015 sanctions against former senior Ukrainian officials, including Tabachnyk, were extended until March 2016.
